Wonders will never seize to reign. I wonder why some people are so mean. Some people have blunt thinking horizons. How can a husband take laws into his own hands to beat up his wife just because of pregnancy.
Babies are gifts from God and are not artificially acquired. If babies are artificially acquired, people who are unable to give birth to babies would have acquired theirs. You can now see the irony of life. Some people have been crying all day to get a child anyhow but cannot get. Some people married for years and have suffered to have at least a child of their own but could not get. So many marriages broke down due to the woman inability to conceive and produce babies.
Most or some of the domestic violence you hear sometimes may arise as a result of mothers-in-law interference due to inability of daughters - in-law to conceive and give them grandchildren. They become angry with their daughters - in-law and begin to advise their sons to divorce and get married to a fertile woman. Some would even get a wife for their sons without their knowledge. All these happen because of lack or inability to conceive and give birth.
On the other hand, some people are just lucky. Babies keep coming to them without stress. Some even go into family planning to control pregnancy. Some others abort their babies because they call them unwanted babies. Another set of people give birth to babies and throw them away, in pits or in dumpling sit. Oh God, you're wonderful.
Let now relate this mind blowing story to what happened in Osun State where one Bebu Abiodun mercilessly beat up and disfigured his wife's face on Saturday, the 20th June, 2020.

Ronke Adeyemi, 33, who’s said to be 3-months pregnant with her second child, was brutalized by her husband, Bebu Abiodun Abbey, 35, on Saturday, June 20, for allegedly refusing to abort the pregnancy.
According to her brother, Jimmy Adekanle, the man beat up his wife and inserted his hands in her private part in an attempt to remove the fetus from her belly.
The couple who got married in August 2018, is said to have been witnessing series of domestic violence in their union.
“Our sister had been complaining to us for a long time about how her husband had been maltreating her over every single issue since they got married.
We always settle issues for them because there is no perfect marriage but her sin this time around was her refusal to abort her three-month-old pregnancy which she had for him.
The husband wants her to terminate the pregnancy and since she refused, he went ahead to beat her up and left injuries all over her face and body,” her brother said.
What could have caused this young man to ask his wife to abort the baby? He also has to go to the extent of brutalizing and disfiguring her face like this.
According to reports by the girl's brother, they have been series and frequent domestic violence in their family and that they always intervene and settle them. Do they really love each other? Lack of love can result to such quarrels and beating. Just imagine, he even inserted his hand into her vagina to remove her fetuse, what an act!
